misto.lun.ua is an urban research platform by LUN, translating complex city data into accessible insights through interactive reports, special projects and public initiatives.

As part of the product team, I focused on improving the visual communication of urban research by creating a unified information design system, designing interfaces for data-driven special projects and supporting public engagement through interactive digital experiences.

Urban Conference Digital Experience

Situation

As part of LUN’s participation in Urban Conference, the team developed a special digital project to engage citizens in evaluating the quality of urban infrastructure across Kyiv.


Task

Design the visual identity and user experience for an interactive online platform that would encourage participation and make urban research accessible to a broader audience.


Design Approach

  • Developed the visual identity for the special project.
  • Designed the UI for the online questionnaire.
  • Created interfaces for interactive maps where users could evaluate different aspects of urban improvement across Kyiv districts.

The editorial team needed engaging digital formats to present urban research findings and practical city-related tools.

Design intuitive interfaces for interactive research publications.

  • Designed the UI for the Top 30 Residential Complexes with the Best Parking Availability project.
  • Created the interface for the Urban Improvement Checklist in collaboration with urban researcher Serhii Nahornyi.

Creating a Unified Information Design System

Situation

The platform contained numerous research publications with inconsistent infographic styles, making the visual language fragmented and difficult to scale.

Audit the existing visual materials and develop a unified system for presenting research data.
